They Write Letters

So Bush went to Utah and Idaho today to escape the Peace Movement that's gathering steam in Crawford and the reception he received from Americans in Utah wasn't all candy and flowers. Seems Idaho wasn't a pick-me-up bouquet for Bush either:
Now that you are in Idaho, perhaps you could answer a few questions:

1. Are the Iraqi people better off since you invaded their country?

2. Why don't you talk to Cindy Sheehan and the other aggrieved parents of soldiers killed in Iraq?

3. How will privatizing Social Security help to maintain this time-proven program?

I have more questions, but these are starters. Welcome to the great state of Idaho.

Do nothing for Idaho

Please don't do anything for Idaho. Your being a "uniter not a divider" has done more than any other person in history to completely paralyze our political system. Your efforts to help the people of Afghanistan and Iraq are obvious to everyone who watches the nightly news. Your economic policies have spiked energy prices and stagnated or dropped wages for the average American.

I'm sorry you weren't allowed to open the Alaskan wilds to oil drilling. I'm sure your rich oil buddies could have used a few million more.

Thanks for the offer, but please, don't do anything for Idaho.

Allen L. Wenger,

Tamarlively hearts Idaho too and points us to more letters from the same paper and darned if there isn't a theme: Mr. President, RESIGN!

I read somewhere recently, I can't remember where, that what Iraq needs is a new leader that can hold the country together, keep the religious factions from going at each other's throats, pay lip service to Islam while maintaining a basically secular government and society, be open and friendly to Western interests, doesn't harbor terrorists, and someone willing to fight Iran; someone like-well-SADDAM HUSSEIN!!! I just had to laugh when I read that. I had to laugh, to prevent myself from crying...
