Ask The White House

Today's Q & A was with Allison Barber, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, or in layman's terms, Donald Rumsfeld's ass-wiper. Allison wanted to tell Americans about that website the Preznit mentioned in his speech few listened to: Oddly, they didn't post my question:

Hi Allison--

To truly support the brave men and women serving in Iraq, shouldn't our President be impeached for sending them into harm's way for non-existent WMDs?
What did make it past the gatekeepers?

Marilyn, from Texas writes:
Is there a way to get through to the media that when they are so condeming of President Bush and US policy that it not only hurts President Bush but that it hurts the troops and how other people look at us. After all it must be very hurtful to the troops when they see all those condemning reports and it must really look weird from other countries to see that. Can you convince the reporters to report more sensibly?

Allison Barber
Marilyn, your concern for our troops is wonderful, and so appropriate during this 4th of July weekend. Your question gets to the very heart of the America Supports You program. If you ask any soldier on the battlefield what his #1 concern is, you won't hear complaints about heat or workloads or fraught filled night patrols. What you will hear is concern for loved ones, concern that the American people are standing behind our service members and their families back home. Focusing on the troops, on communicating directly to them and their families, is what America Supports You is all about.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Dying never crosses their minds.

Allison, put down that kool-aide. You've had enough.

The telling of lies has a kinduva perverse "logic". To keep defending and justifying mendacity, they sink more and more into the absurd. The Reichwing is running away from any sense of reality.
That's what those fuckers have always been about, ain't that true?

Guess What? Allison Barber is correct. These young soldiers fighting in Iraq are certainly not going to worry about the cold, the heat, the lousy food, the 12-hour workday-Seven-days-a-week. And as for all those little arab insurgants firing back at them, or placing bouncing-betty bombs on the convoy roads to kill them--that's not a worry. The soldiers have to worry about their loved ones back safe at home with no money and their houses under forclosure, the loss of health care for their families, or of the possibility of their former jobs being sent overseas to China and India, or of the American public standing right behind them--cheering them all the way, while they lie to the CNN Gallup polls about their opposition to the war.

Is there any toilet paper left in the john, or did Allison use it all up on Rummy?

Hi Eric--

Thanks for stopping by and posting your dos centavos. I agree with your comment. It is deplorable how our brave men and women are being treated by *ahem* the compassionate conservates currently occupying the US's highest office. From low pay that can't cover their mortgages and other bils to poor health care to basically being invisible to their employer upon their return home ... it's heartbreaking.

They deserve better.

They don't deserve government owned websites using them as props.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July.

You too DP!

i posted something tamer, like "whatever the reasons we're there, your mission of stabilizing iraq is noble." it certainly didn't post very fast, if ever.

What Allison knows about what the troops think you couldn't wipe Rummy's nose with, much less...
