Meet The Don't Press

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Tim Russert sucks.

What do you think happened to him? Is he afraid that if he stands up to the GOP types, sales for BIG RUSS AND ME will drop?

If I hear him plug that fucking book one more time...! Is there a platform left where he didn't flog that sappy tome?

Yes, I think Tim is sceeerd of the GOP, of Karl Rove. Why else would he be such a miserable failure at his job? No follow-up questions? Nothing?! Lie after lie after lie. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Condi Rice's appearances on MTP are, for me, unwatchable. Not even on Mute.

Serenity now!

Russert's never been any better. He's the same for both Democrats and Republicans. Meet the Press is basically a forum for politicians to get up and make their sound bites.

Russert is a big softie when it comes to interviewing. If he wasn't, politicians wouldn't go on his show anymore. The funny thing is he doesn't seem to make anyone happy - when he has lefties on the right complains about his softball tactics, when he has right-wingers on the left complains about it. The only people who like it, presumably, are the guests because they can say anything they like and get away with it.

Yeah, well, too bad for Tim. I guess he's okay as long as Imus loves him.
